Our hard-working team of passionate farmers is looking for a few enthusiastic folks to join us for the 2023 season. As an established farm with over 20 years of experience, we can offer fulfilling, long-term opportunities for those looking to pursue a career in organic farming. We also have several seasonal positions open for new farmers looking to gain experience and deepen their knowledge. All members of our tight-knit crew have their hands in the soil planting, hoeing, weeding, mulching, pruning, trellising, harvesting, washing and packing produce. Farming is a very physically demanding job. The weather is unpredictable and the work is variable, which requires people with good mental and physical stamina. A person that excels in these roles is a team player, has a positive attitude and solid work ethic, is efficiency minded, has a good sense of humor, and is physically fit.

Equipment Operator Full Time, Seasonal. 40-45 hours/week March - December , winter work is available for the right candidate. * paid vacation time in the off season* Pay range $17-$21/hour
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operate our small fleet of tractors and other production equipment under the direction of the farm manager.
Tractor work includes primary tillage, bed prep, planting, mowing, spreading amendments, cultivation, laying plastic, bed lifting for harvest, cover-cropping, and general field upkeep.
Assist with equipment maintenance.
Assist with the design and construction of new equipment and infrastructure.
Work with the Crop Production Assistant to set up and run irrigation system.
Participate in additional aspects of field work and food production including weeding, mulching, pruning, trellising, tarping, harvesting, washing, and packing.
Be an active member of a small team to take on projects, solve problems, and work together.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ideal candidate will have 3+ years prior experience with equipment operation on a similar scale (10-30 acres), be mechanically minded, and have stellar communication skills.
Carpentry skills are a plus!
Working knowledge on a wide range of equipment is not required to apply. If you're eager to learn, we can train you!

Delivery Driver (part time) Part-time: Seasonal 16-20 hours/week April - November, Tuesdays and Thursdays. Pay starting at $16/hour
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Help load the delivery truck
Deliver 150-200 CSA Shares to 8 different CSA drop sites around the Upper Valley, as well as wholesale orders to local restaurants and coop food stores.
Closely follow designated routes and time schedule
Set up CSA pick up sites in a clean and organized manner
Ask for feedback from wholesale customers and report back to farm
Collect payments when necessary
Arrive back at the farm around 2:30pm, unload the van and wash empty CSA totes.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Be at least 20 years old
Have a valid drivers license
Be committed to safe and responsible driving
Be physically able to lift 30-40 lbs repeatedly

Vegetable Production Crew Full time (40 hours/week) Full Season, Early May- late November Pay starting at $14/hour
Participate in all aspects of food production including greenhouseseedling production, planting, weeding, mulching, pruning, trellising, harvesting, washing, and packing produce.
Be an active member of a small team to take on projects, solve problems, and work together.
Harvest and pack orders for 400+ CSA shares and local wholesale accounts.
Assist in the farm kitchen making sauerkraut and other value-added products in the fall.
Morning Harvest Crew Part-time, mornings 7am-noon, minimum 15 hours/week. Seasonal, please inquire for more details Pay starting at $14/hour
This is a seasonal part time position that has a particular focus on harvesting produce.

Administrative Assistant & Local Farm Enthusiast - POSITION FILLED Full Time, Year Round 40-45 hours/week April - December , 30-35 hours/week January - March * paid vacation time in the off season* Pay range $17-$20/hour
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assisting Farm Manager with CSA member and wholesale communications (primarily newsletters and social media)
Assist Farm Manager to source high quality local products for our CSA, place orders with vendors, and coordinate delivery and storage logistics.
Manage product inventory and storage spaces for crop quality and efficient work flow.
Assist Farm Manager with CSA delivery builder- assess field crop availability, track product inventory, and build our custom packed CSA boxes with a diverse selection of products.
Organize CSA and wholesale pick lists for accurate and efficient harvests.
Coordinate with Willing Hands to orient gleaning team to field crops for gleaning.
Occasionally participate in additional aspects of food production including planting, weeding, mulching, pruning, trellising, harvesting, washing produce, and packing CSA boxes.
Be an active member of a small team to take on projects, solve problems, and work together.
Assist in the farm kitchen making sauerkraut and other value-added products in the fall.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The right candidate for this position will be detail oriented and have strong written and verbal communication skills.
2+ years prior project, account, or office management experience - we'd love for that experience to be on a farm or professional kitchen but we're open to various backgrounds!
Minimum 2-year commitment preferred
Crop Production Assistant - POSITION FILLED Full Time, Seasonal. 40-45 hours/week April - December. **opportunities for winter work and paid time off if committed to a second season** Pay starting at $17/hour
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work closely with farm managers to implement existing crop plan.
Coordinate a small field crew (3-5 people) to implement field work plans: planting, weeding, mulching, tarping, and application of amendments. This person holds an understanding of the bigger picture of the farm, hopping in and out of various tasks to support work flow.
Assist with early spring greenhouse seeding and hoop house bed prep.
Assist with tomato, cucumber, and pepper planting, pruning and trellising.
Assist with placement and timing of irrigation systems.
Monitor for pests & diseases in the fields and hoop houses. Document and communicate findings.
Record dates, photos, and notes for seeding, transplanting, and amendment applications.
Participate in additional aspects of food production including harvest, wash/pack, and kraut production.
Be an active member of a small team to take on projects, solve problems, and work together.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ideal candidate will have 2+ years prior experience with project management and crew leadership and will have impeccable record keeping and organizational abilities, stellar communication skills and approach-ability.
Prior farming or other leadership experience is a plus!
