Fully Customizable, 31 Weeks, April 25th-Nov 25th
Each week you'll choose from the wide selection of vegetables we grow. There's something new with each season- from spring greens, herbs, and asparagus to the colorful array of summer tomatoes and peppers, and concluding with sweet fall root vegetables and winter squash.

You'll also be able to ​swap in ​or add on local meat, cheese, fruit, milk, yogurt, sauerkraut, and more through our online CSA system. ​When you're away, you can put your box on hold and you'll only pay for the weeks you receive.

How Does Root 5 Farm's CSA Work? 

You commit to support Root 5 Farm for the season by signing up and paying a small deposit up front for your CSA membership. This deposit will pay for your first week’s share.
Set your preferences! We’ll pack your box based on what you love. You’ll have the option to swap out and add extra items each week, so you’ll get a box that’s just right for you!
Over the winter we make plans, order seeds and supplies, and hire our crew. Early in the spring, we start growing produce for you and your family.
Bring your own reusable bags to pick up your vegetables, leaving the red box and cold pack materials at the site for us to wash and reuse the following week.
We harvest, wash and pack the highest quality vegetables from April through December and deliver a box to your pick-up site each week.
You make incredibly fresh meals all season long, using the resources, recipes, and storage tips we’ve created exclusively for our members.

When you sign up, you can rate all of the vegetables we grow and the products we offer on a scale of “not for me” to “I love it”.

Your boxes will be built based on your preferences and produce that's in season and available for harvest that week.

Prior to each delivery, we'll send you an email to let you know what we're planning to put in your box that week.

This initial list is based on your preferences. We match that with what's in season and available for harvest that week.

If you like what we're offering, then you don't have to take any action.​

Swap Items, Add Extras

If you want to make changes, you’ll have the option to swap out items.

You'll also have the option to purchase additional vegetables or other local products like meat, eggs, yogurt, coffee, fruit, and sauerkraut each week. 

You can order small quantities to supplement your weekly share or larger quantities at a discount for canning or preserving. ​​

SMALL SHARE

A Small Share is perfect for smaller households and families who don't cook at home every day. Also great for supplementing produce from your home garden!
MEDIUM SHARE
​$45/week
Our Medium Share is our most popular option, great for a household of 2-4 people who cook at home regularly. This size share also allows some room to add fruit, milk, eggs, cheese, and other extras.
LARGE SHARE
​$55/week
A Large Share is perfect for larger households, or those who have a mostly plant-based diet, are avid cooks, or like to can, freeze, and preserve extras. This is also a great option for those who like to add on fruit, cheese, yogurt, meat, milk, eggs, kraut, and pantry items each week.
